Memberships

  • The Swim Team do not sell places at individual sessions and require block bookings with payment in advance – dates align with Leeds City Council term times.
  • Memberships are invoiced for full-terms only. Half-term payments are only offered at the discretion of management and will incur additional administration fee of £7.50.
  • New registrations will be required to make a debit/credit card payment for the remaining sessions of the forthcoming block to guarantee their child’s place. This may be anything from a 1-15 week payment.
  • Members who fail to make payment by the renewal deadline accept that their place may be offered to a child on our waiting list.

Renewals

  • Payments will be expected for future terms unless cancellation is received by email with a minimum of 10 days’ notice – please note we will not accept cancellation requests by any other means, namely by SMS, MMS, verbally or WhatsApp message.
  • Members will be pre-notified of upcoming term costs. Queries on amounts and subscriptions must also be raised a clear 10 days before the payment date.
  • Members will be advised of all payment dates for the calendar year via email before signing up the Direct Debit system.
  • Members who contact us less than 10 days prior to their next payment date to request a termination of their membership will remain liable for the payment of membership fees for the upcoming half/full term of classes.
  • In exceptional circumstances, The Swim Team may release a customer from their membership obligations if their place in the class can be filled by a customer on the waiting list. This will only be considered on a case-by-case basis and a refund for the remaining classes in the term (from the date which the replacement member is able to start) will be processed minus a £20.00 administration fee. E.G. If a member wishes to cancel with 8 weeks left in the term and a replacement can attend the remaining 6 weeks of the term then the cost of the interim 2 weeks will be deducted from any refund on top of the admin fee.
  • The Swim Team reserves the right to terminate the membership of any customer who fails to pay their renewal membership fees by the broadcasted deadline.
  • Members that fall below a threshold of 25% attendance across a minimum of 6 weeks may have membership revoked with a refund issued for the remaining classes of the term.
  • Important - Terminated memberships do not qualify for a refund for the sessions which have already been attended during the current membership period.

Refund & Absence Policy

  • Due to small class sizes and substantial operating costs, we do not offer full or partial refunds for absences.
  • The Swim Team cannot be held liable for injuries that happen to its children away from Swim Team classes and are therefore unable to offer refunds or credits for short or long-term injuries.
  • Should your child be absent from sessions due to a medium/long term injury please contact a member of the coaching team by email to discuss.
  • Catch-up sessions are subject to availability and must be, where offered, redeemed before the end of the respective block of which the original absence occurred. Missed sessions cannot be carried over to another block of classes. Please be aware that due to the high occupancy rates and strong attendances at Swim Team classes catch-up sessions should not be assumed as available.
  • Where absence on a previous term has occurred, membership fees for future classes will always remain payable in full.
  • The Swim Team reserves the right to retain membership fees for sessions that you choose not to or are unable to attend.
  • Should The Swim Team terminate a parent’s membership solely due a breach of the code of conduct this would subsequently disqualify them from attending future classes. All remaining session fees would be refunded into the bank account from which original membership was paid.
  • All remaining session fees would be refunded into the bank account from which original membership was paid.
  • Important - Terminated memberships do not qualify for a refund for the sessions that have already been attended during the current membership period.
